Halloween in Japantown started in 2003 as safety-conscious event for the community. With an abundance of caution we are closing Jackson Street between 4th and 6th to vehicle traffic to allow families to social distance while having a fun COVID safe Halloween experience outdoors.

What: Halloween in Japantown

When: Sunday, October 31 - 3:30 - 6:30PM

Note: Social distancing and mask wearing encouraged regardless of vaccination status.

San Jose Taiko will be doing unannounced pop-up performances throughout the event. Japantown businesses and organizations will be offering treats and fun for the community as well.
